On Labor Day weekend, Hard Times Billiards in Bellflower, CA, will host the First Annual TAD CUP 2010. Sponsored by J & J America, the winner of this Amateur Handicapped tournament will get a 4 Prong TAD Cue. It’s a $50.00 entry fee double elimination race to 5 on the winners side and a race to 3 on the west side. The total prize fund will be awarded 100% plus a custom-made TAD with an approximate value of $4,300.

The event will consist of Pro-Amateur and Amateur players with a handicap rating of 7 or lower. Tournament director Sam Kim encourages early entries made in person or by mail to avoid missing out. Mail-in entries must be received by August 27, 2010. After August 27, the entry fee will be $75.00.

I am encouraging everybody, pool players or non-pool players to support this very first event sponsored by one of the best, if not the best Break/Jump Cuemaker of the century. (I have been using J & J Jump/Break cue for the past three years as my medium hard tip by TAD on my breaking cue). Also, most of my friends and regular players from Danny K’s have confirmed their participation; I just can’t mention everyone here due to a single run-out of space… LOL.
To put up a handicapped tournament is not an easy task if you don’t have a good director like Sam Kim. He said, it’s just one way of giving back to players for all their support in making Hard Times Billiards one of our weekly hangouts and for supporting every player a chance to win.
