Hall-of-Famer "Django" Bustamante Dominates Sacramento Tour

Eleven days before he will introduce the Hall of Fame, Francisco “Django” Bustamante dominated a field of 128 players in the 3rd Chuck Markulis Memorial Tournament at Hard Times Sacramento, California October 10, 2010. Django lost the hotseat match with Efren “Bata” Reyes yet sent him to the west side of the board. Bustamante was able to beat Reyes twice in succession for the title with scores that include Santos Sambajon.

Like what everybody expected, all Filipino finalists played a single race to 11 games on Sunday night at Hard Times Billiards Sacramento. It was Efren Reyes vs Django Bustamante on one side of the bracket while Santos Sambajon faced Dennis Orcollo on another side.

Django made it up prior to his HOF introduction at Springfield Marriott Hotel this weekend.

The Chuck Markulis Memorial Tournament continues its reputation as one of the most prestigious events held in California.
