The San Diego Classic is the first stop of the year for the WPBA Classic Tour, featuring 64 women, including the 9 who recently earned their qualifications at the WPBA Regional Tour last week at Hard Times Billiards in Bellflower, CA.
Preliminary rounds begin at 10:00 AM on Thursday and run through Saturday evening, streamed live, with ESPN broadcasting semi-finals and finals.
All the women are eager to fight for top rankings, starting March 10-14, 2010, at Viejas Casino in Alpine, northeast of San Diego, CA. Monica Webb, the 2009 Champion, returns to defend her title.
Among the contenders are:

- Austrian Champion, Jasmin Ouschan
- Hall of Famer, Allison Fisher
- Karen Corr
- Xiao Ting Pan from China
- 2009 Galveston World Classics Champion, Yu Ram Cha (South Korea)
- Iris Ranola (Philippines), and the 9 regional qualifiers led by Asia’s #1 Shu-Han Chang.
